Elves on the run to raise funds

-

STAFF at a Macclesfield firm got in the Christmas spirit as they raised money for a worthy cause.

A team from Direct Food Ingredients, based at Waters Green, took part in an elf run in aid of Children’s cancer charity the Joshua Tree. The event took place at Roker Park, in Northwich, and was two kilometres long.

Among those that donned elf outfits and ears were Harry Nesbit, Sofia Chinea, Tom Mayer, Penny Woodward, and Steve Loake, as well as Steve’s son Joseph.

Staff have been raising money for the Joshua Tree, based in Northwich, as their chosen charity throughout 2018 and the total now stands at around £3,900.

Other activities include taking part in a Tough Mudder event and the Northwich Dragon Boat Race as well as bake sales and swimathons.

Steve, Direct Food Ingredients’s managing director, said: “We understand how important the Joshua Tree’s services are and have been so proud to raise awareness of the cause.

“I would like to say thank you to all of the team who have taken part or donated, the funds will support this much-loved charity so it can continue its wonderful work.”
