Teenager attacked and robbed in street
A TEENAGE boy was left seriously injured after he was chased, attacked and robbed on a Macclesfield street.
The 16-year-old was chased by a gang on Fountain Street on Monday, December 17, at around 2am.
When the group caught up with him they stole his mobile phone and attacked him causing a serious injury to his face.
The victim was taken to Macclesfield Hospital by ambulance and has since been released.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the ‘nasty’ attack.
Detective Sergeant Matt Ashton, of Macclesfield CID, said: “We are continuing to piece together exactly what happened during the early hours and how the teenager came to suffer a nasty attack.
“I am appealing directly to the local community to come forward with any information – no matter how small which could help us identify those responsible.”
