Carols burn off calories
HUNDREDS of residents worked off the Christmas calories with a climb of Kerridge Ridge for the festive tradition of carols by White Nancy.
Bollington Brass Band played seasonal songs for crowds to join in with on Christmas Day afternoon.
And a mystery guest dressed as Rudolph arrived and was commandeered to help conduct the music.
Steve Murphy, 63, from Bollington, attended with his family and says the event has been happening for more than a decade.
He said: “It is a Christmas tradition in Bollington and it is fabulous.
“You know you’ve had a climb when you get there but White Nancy is a much-loved monument and it is definitely worth it.”
The event began at 1pm and saw around half an hour of music before hundreds of guests drifted off back home for Christmas dinner.
