An engine parade to get steamed up about

A PARADE of 20 road steam engines will make its way through Macclesfield.

The Peaks and Plains Steamathon takes place on Saturday, May 18, and will arrive at Sutton Hall at around 4pm.

Here there will be food and drink and prizes handed out at a presentation that begins at 7pm.

The parade begins in Buglawton, near Congleton, and goes through the Cheshire countryside, reaching Wincle at around 12.30pm.

Wincle Brewery will be open to sell its beer and also have a barbecue.
