Trees are set on fire
POLICE have appealed for witnesses after trees were set on fire on a residential road.
The incident, which is being treated as deliberate, happened on Ivy Road, Macclesfield, on Monday, May 13, at around 7pm.
One fire crew from Macclesfield station were called to the blaze, which involved around three metres of conifers.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames before they spread further and firefighters then spent 30 minutes dampening down the affected area.
