Tribute concert reaches for stars

A TRIBUTE act concert will see Elton John, Diana Ross and the Bee Gees all on the same bill.

The Cheshire Gala Festival will take place at Gawsworth Hall, Macclesfield, on August 18.

Performing alongside the headline acts will be local musicians and there will also be other entertainment, a bar and artisan food stalls.

Among the food offering will be an outlet run by Michelin Star celebrity chef Aiden Byrne.

It is hoped the event will take place annually and the chosen charity for 2019 is Brainwave Children’s Charity.

Event organiser Max Eden said: “When curating this event, I’ve used the beautiful Gawsworth Hall as my inspiration and can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve got planned, from surprise acts to exclusive pop ups.

“It’s going to be a brilliant day, with a focus on raising vital funds for Brainwave Children’s Charity. The big tribute acts have been selected as they are just phenomenal, can’t wait for the biggest party experience.”
