MACCLESFIELD law firm SAS Daniels has announced a threeyear sponsorship deal to support King’s School cricket.

A significant package includes funding for new first XI kit for both limited overs and timed cricket matches, with further funding used down the school to help cricketers of all ages.

The package will also enable the school to live stream all matches for pupils, parents and the wider cricket community to enjoy.

SAS Daniels Joint Head of Employment and Head of their Education Unit Steve Foster, said: “King’s cricket has been at the heart of Macclesfield sport for over 100 years and SAS Daniels is delighted to be part of their team both for this season and as they move to their spectacular new setting from 2020.”

SAS Daniels Solicitor Warren Moores added: “We hope our support helps all those involved at King’s Cricket to develop their own sporting and personal development”.

Under coaches, former county pace bowler Andy (AJ) Harris and former Cheshire player Steve Moores, the Macclesfield school’s First XI are aiming for a strong season.

They boast four county players with captain and tough all-rounder Angus Thomson and elegant opener Joey Chong both having played for Cheshire and leg spinning all-rounder Harry Elms and pugnacious left-hand bat George Holden having played for Derbyshire. Alderley Edge second XI fast bowler Will Fosbrook will spearhead the attack with his nippy swing and seam

Head of King’s Cricket Steve Moores said: “We are delighted to welcome SAS Daniels as our new partners and hope they will enjoy the next three seasons as much as our players.”
