Body is found in river
POLICE searching for a woman missing from Macclesfield have found a body in the River Bollin.
The sad discovery was made in Prestbury on Sunday, February 23, and is believed to be 56-year-old Angela Adams.
She has been reported missing earlier that day and had last been seen leaving an address on High Street at around 7am.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and her family are being supported by specialist officers.
Police had said they had become ‘increasingly concerned’ for her welfare.
In a statement on Sunday night a Cheshire
Police spokesman said: “Formal identification has not yet taken place.
“However, it is believed to be that of Angela Adams, who was reported missing earlier in the day.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner. Officers would like to thank members of the public for their support during the search for Angela.”
