Festival musicals go global
INSTRUMENT players are tuning up for Macclesfield’s arm of a global event - the Festival of Contemporary Music.
It takes place at St Michael’s Church on Saturday, March 7, from 7.30pm. Among those to feature will be Macclesfield Concert Band, Macclesfield Contemporary Ensemble, Macclesfield Society of
Recorder Players and Macclesfield Music Centre Adult Choir.
Richard Moss, who plays the trombone and will feature in the festival, said: “It is a great opportunity for us and our audience to experience different kinds of music and to make Macclesfield part of this fantastic festival.”

There will be a free concert between 3.30pm and 5.30pm when people can listen and have a look round the church.
