Mosque visit offers culture lesson
CHILDREN got a taste of a different culture as they visited a mosque to learn about Islam.
The trip, from St Gregory’s Primary, in Bollington, saw pupils travel to Cheadle Mosque.
Here they learned the Arabic alphabet, dressed in Muslim clothes and found out about the religion’s prayer rituals.
John Daly, headteacher at the school, said: “As part of our learning, we need to know and understand more about different religions, equalities and diversity.
“The children’s knowledge and understanding was deepened and developed as a result of this visit and experience.”
