Nursery singers can’t stop keeping in touch

-

NURSERY teachers have reminded home schooled children who they are by starring in a video featuring one of their favourite songs.

Staff at Tiny Adventures, based at Macclesfield Learning Zone, were worried that toddlers would forget who they were during the Covid-19 lockdown.

So they each filmed themselves singing and dancing to the hit Can’t Stop the Feeling, which was featured in the hit movie Trolls and sung by Justin Timberlake.

One of the stars of the video Sophie Brown, who is six months pregnant, edited all the clips together to produce a montage to send to parents.

The children have now all seen the video and have sent their own clips back singing and dancing along themselves.

Sophie, 27, from Broken Cross, said: “It’s a way of keeping everyone together and making sure the kids recognise our faces as they won’t have seen us for a long time.

“Getting everyone’s lips to sync with the song was tricky but the reaction has been brilliant.

“We are such a close team it is hard being away from each other, so coming together on a video made people a bit emotional.

“Everyone was up for it and all the kids loved it, it’s uplifting.”

Sophie has a degree in TV and radio media so had the expertise to do a professional job.

The nursery has another site at Lyme Green and staff there are also planning on making a similar video.

Sophie added: “It was a lot of fun so we might also do a follow up ourselves and we said we’d do a Christmas one.”
