Celebrities to feature in online quiz

- ALEX SCAPENS

AN INTERNET quiz featuring a host of celebrities and Catchphrase legend Ray Walker will raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention issues.

The brainteaser features 10 rounds, two of which were filmed at St Peter’s Church, in Prestbury, with Coronation Street’s Vicky Myers posing the questions.

She puts viewers through their paces on the subject of history and a guess the song music round where she acts out the lyrics.

Other famous faces to be involved are Dan Westwood from CBeebies and soapstars Catherine Tyldesley, Charlie Brooks and Natalie Cassidy.

Steve Murphy, curate at St Peter’s, has stitched all the rounds into a video quiz that can now be completed online.

Ray Walker is the host and Steve has even included a bonus ‘say what you see’ Catchphrase-style round in his honour.

Vicky has played DS Swain, who led the investigation into Seb Franklin’s death in Coronation Street.

The quiz has been created in partnership with the Zero Suicide Alliance and coincides with World Mental Health Day on October 10.

It is free but participants are asked to make a donation.

They can find out more about the issue of suicide and how they can attempt to spot the signs of someone who is struggling with their mental health.

Steve says 6,000 people a year take their own life in the UK

He said: “The quiz helps raise awareness of a serious issue and everyone can help save a life – that is the message we are trying to get across.

“It’s not just doctors and nurses, we are all in a position to reach out to someone we care about.”
