Success is ideal tonic for Ethan
THE nervous wait ended with good news for many students at All Hallows Catholic College on A level results day.
Youngsters, who also received BTEC results, now move onto the next stage of their lives with destinations including university and apprenticeships.
Among them Will Greenwood, Hannah Oakes, Sam Langer, John Nuttall and Ethan Rowley.
Head student Ethan, who will study medicine at Nottingham University, said “I am very grateful for all of the support and guidance that I received.
“These past two years have been incredibly challenging, and I couldn’t have achieved my successes without the help of my teachers.”
Will has secured a place to read law at York University, Hannah will train to be a nurse at Liverpool John Moore’s University, Sam will study biological sciences at the University of Edinburgh and John is reading medicine.
Principal Tim Beesley says this year’s cohort have made excellent progress over a two-year period that began during the height of Covid and was fraught with challenges.
He said: “We are very pleased with the A level and BTEC results achieved by the whole year group, but more importantly we are delighted with all of the individual achievements and successes.
“We are very proud of all our young people, especially with the challenges that they have had to face over their time in sixth form.
“I would like to thank all of the teachers and staff for their hard work, dedication and outstanding pastoral care, and our parents and families for their support.”
David Howells, head of sixth form, added: “These results reflect their tremendous energy and commitment to their studies.
“As a year group they have been superb rolemodels for the rest of the college.”
