MBBC duo’s arms raised
TWO skills bouts for Hulton Sports and Social Club over in Stoke - one off which was going to be her first trip into the ring.
And young Liam Jay Hampson was making his second step up in another skills bout, this time against another home fighter from One Bomb abc Harley Jones.
He towered over Liam but he wasn’t intimidated at all and straight from the off, went to work throwing his jab.
Harley had the longer arms and caught Liam with a couple in the first but once the contest moved into the second Liam was drawing the shots then coming back with his backhand and catching at will.
The third round was Liam’s best as he just turned it up looked comfortable whilst really enjoyed himself.
A great contest with both kids building their confidence and enjoying it.
Both had their arms raised much to the delight off those watching.
Next up was Lottie
Dean Lee against another home fighter, Olivia
Armstrong from the One Bomb Club.
Olivia towered over Lottie but unfazed she was well up for her debut and as soon as the bell went she imposed herself and looked strong with the referee telling her to pull back a bit which she did.
This was a great learning curve for both and the second round saw them throw the one-two straight shots.
Lottie looked so comfortable you would not believe this was her first time in the ring in front off a crowd.
The third round was better still but Lottie was too strong and too accurate and was told to tame it again which she did.
The pair had become friends whilst chatting in the changing rooms - girls are totally different to the lads!
The crowd again loved every minute and again both girls had their arms raised.
Well done to them both for their efforts.
Big shout out to Donna Shaw and Steve Roberts for taking them.
