Charity gets busy for festive season
THE charity that raises money for Macclesfield Hospital has a busy festive schedule coming up.
East Cheshire NHS
Charity kicks things off on Friday, December 1, with a Christmas market in the hospital’s lecture hall.
There will be stall, a brass band performing by the duck pond from 12.30pm to 1.15pm and a Christmas-themed menu in the canteen.
The charity’s Christmas raffle launches on the same day and runs until December 15.
Prizes include a twilight spa package at Shrigley Hall, Christmas hampers, vouchers for hairdressers and champagne.
And schools, groups
and businesses are invited to join in a Christmas jumper day on Thursday, December 7.
Participants can donate £1 and wear festive knitwear.

East Cheshire NHS Charity has also been chosen as a partner for the
Co-op Community Fund until October 2024.
Stores at West Park Drive and Westmorland Close have chosen the charity to receive one per cent of what members spend on own brand products.
The money will go towards creating a dementia-friendly garden on ward nine at Macclesfield
Hospital.Louise Little, from the Co-op, said, “We are delighted to choose East Cheshire NHS Charity as one of the Co-op local causes for the next year.
“We look forward to working closely with the charity and helping to raise vital funds to support patients and staff.”
This year’s fundraising at the Co-op has seen an impressive total of £45,282.41 collected which is being shared in and around Macclesfield by 24 groups.
This includes £1,063 for Park Royal Pre-school, Bollington United Junior Football Club receiving £2437 and Macc Wild Network Trust who were given £3068.45.
