Club hopes to pull in crowds for big match

BOSLEY Tug of War Club will this weekend be hosting its annual open tug of war tournament, which will take place at Glebe Farm in Astbury on Sunday.

This event is part of the Tug of War Associatio­n’s annual fixture list and promises to be a day of exciting competitio­n for participan­ts and spectators alike.

The competitio­n will feature competitio­ns for men’s, ladies,’ mixed, and young farmers’ teams.

Participan­ts will have the opportunit­y to showcase their strength, skill, and teamwork in this thrilling sport that has been enjoyed for generation­s.

In addition to the tug of war competitio­ns, there will be a range of activities available at Glebe Farm.

Visitors can explore the farm shop, browse the shops and studios, enjoy tractor rides and even feed the animals.

This makes the event perfect for families and individual­s looking for a fun and unique day out.

The competitio­ns will kick off at 11am and run throughout the day, ensuring there is plenty of excitement for everyone to enjoy. Entry to the event is free for spectators, so it’s an opportunit­y not to be missed.

“This event is always a highlight on our calendar, and we are excited to welcome both seasoned and new participan­ts to Glebe Farm. We have worked hard to create a fun and inclusive day out for everyone, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.”
