Singers raise £800 for charity

MAIDENHEAD: A ladies’ choir has raised hundreds of pounds for a charity that works to improve the lives of young carers and vulnerable children.

The Tuesday Singers, based at St Mark’s Crescent Methodist Church, staged two fundraising concerts in 2019 to support the Honeypot Children’s Charity.

The concerts saw donations to the tune of £800 collected, enough to fund a getaway for four young carers, bringing them the opportunity to relax, learn, play and socialise.

A spring concert is planned for April 26 at St Piran’s School with the proceeds set to go towards a local dementia group.
