Application submitted to relocate equine centre

-

COOKHAM: Plans to build new stables and relocate existing ones at a Cookham equine centre have been submitted.

Taylor Made Liveries and Riding School in Strand Lane is seeking to construct four new stable blocks, consisting of 16 new stables.

It hopes to build an American barn – a large timber barn which typically includes stables, a tack room and space for hay storage - and also move some of the existing stables on the south end of the site, which is prone to flooding, to higher ground.

The business provides accommodation to 26 liveried horses, as well as offering horse and rider training for dressage and show jumping.

According to the planning application, wildflowers will be planted on the land once the old stables are demolished.

It is not yet clear when the Royal Borough will decide on the application.
