History, drama and imperfect numbers add up to comedy
Monday January 27 to Saturday February 1 Ten Times Table Theatre Royal Windsor
The small town of Pendon’s first ever community pageant – the massacre of the Pendon Twelve - based on a littleknown piece of local history in which an uprising of rebellious workers was crushed by the authorities.
With a Marxist schoolteacher, a military dogbreeder and an octogenarian secretary and more besides, the committee is riven by divisions of class, politics, personality and very different views of what the pageant represents.
Alan Aykbourn’s sparkling play is presented by Bill Kenwright’s Classic Comedy Theatre Company.
