Everybody down and all aboard

Sunday February 9 The Navy Lark Norden Farm

When HMS Troutbridge docks in Maidenhead it’s going to be Ev’rybody Down! for an evening of nostalgic belly laughs.

The Navy Lark features a cast of three, including two performers, James Hurn and Richard User, from the Reading area. They bring to life three classic episodes from the much-loved radio series. It originally ran from 1959 – 1977 featuring Leslie Phillips, Ronnie Barker and Jon Pertwee and often features on Radio 4 Extra.

James Hurn is best known for his parts in BBC2’s Dead Ringers, BBC1’s Scoop, BBC1’s The Slammer, BBC1’s Spoof, BBC1’s Mrs Bradley Mysteries, and his role as Jacobson in Band of Brothers, directed by Tom Hanks. Last year he took his one-man show Hancock and Co on a sell-out tour, stopping at Norden Farm on the way.
