A series of fine results made it a good weekend for Maidenhead United Juniors Under 13 teams. The Stripes were in League Cup action away at Penn & Tylers. Coach Mark was pleased with the team: “Stripes showed their class. A disciplined performance from start to finish. They played the conditions very well, battled hard, kept the ball well and played some purposeful, composed possession play on a tricky surface. POTM went to Oli. Becoming a regular recipient of the award, he put in a captain’s performance.”

Cobras welcomed Golden Eagle Flyers to Cox Green. Coach Alastair explains: “The Cobras started well and were 3 up inside 10 mins after a Charlie hat-trick.

Max then followed up with two before Adam scored his first of the season. Max then got his third. Josh then blasted one from long range. Ben P then got one before half time. The second half saw Ben P get his second. Niall playing out of goal for the second picked the next goal. Adam showed good skill to score his second. Max produced another good finish for his fourth. Jaiden then finished for his first goal for the club. Niall then picked up another one. Golden Eagle Flyers stuck with it and scored a fine consolation goal. There was time for Joseph to pick up a goal.”

Bullets ran out 6-3 winners away at Beaconsfield. Player Of The Match Gianpier produced two quality crosses the first of which was met by Joe G and the second by Mohsin.

Beaconsfield equalised 30 seconds into the second half but one each from Pablo and James and two from Mohsin with just a penalty in reply sealed the win.
