Desborough progress with 10-shot victory
Desborough claimed a 10-shot victory to progress past North Wiltshire in the fifth round of the Yetton Trophy this week.
Impressive displays at home from the rink skipped by Lorraine Woodley and the away rink marshalled by
Mary Price paved the way for the club’s progression in the competition. The other two rinks also did enough to ensure Desborough always had the edge and their prize for victory is a quarter final game against Honiton on January 29.

Desborough’s first friendly of the new year against Whiteknights resulted in a 36-shot defeat for the visitors. The hosts claimed one rink win with the other four resulting in narrow defeats. Linda Davis, John Munnelly and Brian Faulkner took top rink honours with a 19-11 win.
