Magpies sign Palmer on short term deal

-

Maidenhead United have signed former Sutton United keeper Harry Palmer on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has previously played for Ebbsfleet United, Yeovil Town and Sutton United.

He will wear the number 23 during his time at the club.

The squad has also undergone a few changes in recent days with Josh Smile being recalled to the Magpies following a successful loan spell with National League South side Billericay Town.

There have also been a couple of outgoings, with Andre Burley returning to Wycombe Wanderers and Jamie Sendles-White leaving the club following the end of his short contract. Brad Keetch’s loan spell with Walton Casuals has also been extended until the end of the season.

There is no official news yet on whether Jay Mingi will be staying at the club for the remainder of the season.

The Portsmouth midfielder has performed well while on loan and has attracted interest from clubs in League 2 and the top end of the National League. His loan with the Magpies is due up this month and Alan Devonshire will be keen to keep Mingi at the club if he possibly can.

The former West Ham United and Charlton Athletic academy prospect has played nine times for Maidenhead this term across the National League and FA Cup, scoring once during a meeting with big-money side Wrexham.

United return to action this weekend when they take on National League leaders FC Halifax Town at York Road.
