Exhibition marks 80 years of art
COOKHAM: An exhibition celebrating Cookham Arts Club’s 80th year is taking place this month.
The display at Pinder Hall features an array of paintings, sculptures, woodcarving and pottery from both members and nonmembers.
The club had planned to mark its 80th year in 2020 but celebrations had to be put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Artist Elisha Enfield, winner of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the
Year 2021, cut the ribbon to open the summer exhibition during a preview evening at Pinder Hall on Monday.
In her speech she paid tribute to the historic arts club for championing artists in an area which is surrounded by natural beauty.
The exhibition is now open daily from 10am to 6pm until Sunday, August 28.
Admission is free and guests can visit cookhamartsclub.com for further details.
