Law must keep up with weight limit reality

I suspect that a great many of your readers will hate the bollards at Marlow Bridge, and must be surprised that current law apparently forbids the only sensible solution of cameras to police weight limits.

If that is the case, then, as Mr Bumble said, ‘the law is a ass – a idiot’, and it is high time that such legislation caught up with the technology available.

I’m sure the MPs would find many allies amongst all political parties to enable the dozens if not hundreds of ignored weight restrictions throughout the country to be policed properly.
