Pop-up stall raises funds

MAIDENHEAD: A group of volunteers raising money for a Maidenhead children’s hospice have raised a record amount of money from a three day pop-up book stall in the Nicholsons Centre.

Alexander Devine’s Maidenhead Fundraising Group ran its book stall between September 22 and September 24.

Generous shoppers snapped up more than 1,000 books from the stall, which was selling new and donated children’s books, raising £1,331 for the Snowball Hill charity. The next book stall will be held from October 20 to October 22 from 9am-5pm.
