Maidenhead: More than 600 young

Maidenhead RFC played host to more than 600 youth team players from the local area this weekend.

It was a celebratio­n of rugby as the Maidenhead RFC Minis’ Festival 2022 took place in glorious Autumn sunshine at Braywick.

A total of 54 teams entered from Maidenhead RFC, Henley RFC, Windsor RFC, Beaconsfie­ld RFC, and Reading Rams RFC in age groups ranging from u7’s to u12’s.

“It is important to remember this is a festival

and not a competitio­n,” said Maidenhead RFC Chairman, Stephen Bough.

“These events provide a valuable assessment of the standards of our young club players, some of whom will go on to be the representa­tive stars of tomorrow.
