Up and down season for Maids
Two solid wins at home and two heavy defeats on the road have characterised a rather up and down start to the South Central Women’s
Premier Division 1 season for Maidenhead’s women.
The first team have prevailed 2-0 at home over Sonning and Henley but either side of those games they've lost 5-1 at leaders Bournemouth and 4-0 at second placed Fareham. In mitigation those defeats have come against the league’s most in-form teams with both having won all four of their matches to date. Seventh-placed Maids now face a little wait before hosting ninthplaced Southampton 1sts at Altwood School on Saturday, November 5.
