Windsor remain winless after six games played

-

Windsor RFC were unable to take advantage of home turf at the weekend, as they lost 8-50 to Cobham in the Regional 2 Thames League.

Frustratingly, this was the Royals’ first competitive fixture at Home Park this season and the defeat keeps them entrenched at the bottom of the division.

Cobham, meanwhile, climb to sixth.

Next up for Andy Symons and his men is a clash with eighthplaced Belsize Park. They were victorious in their last outing, edging home side Amersham & Chiltern 7-19.

W In the Counties 1 Tribute Southern North, Marlow RFC competently beat Thatcham, 5319.

This victory was their sixth of the season and, remarkably, their fourth where they’ve won by more than 21 points.

They remain in second, just below league leaders Chinnor 3rds thanks to their inferior points difference.

Rory Greenslade-Jones’ side travel to Bicester next. The side defeated High Wycombe away on Saturday and, as a result, occupy fifth place.

W Slough RFC return to competitive action in the Counties 2 Tribute Berks, Bucks & Oxon South Division this weekend.

They take on home side Newbury 2nds who sit second from bottom in the table with one win and four defeats from their five matches played.

Slough occupy sixth place with two wins and three losses and in their last match the side succumbed to a 19-17 loss against Maidenhead 3rds (October 8). They are yet to win away this season.
