Belsize Park condemn Royals to another loss in Regional 2 Thames League

-

Belsize Park were the latest club to condemn Windsor RFC to defeat in the Regional 2 Thames League with Andy Symons’ men still without a victory after seven games played.

On Saturday, the Royals were beaten 49-7 by the London-based side to remain at the foot of the division.

In this clash, Hugh Nicholson,

Joseph Doyle, William Lawn, Oliver Lee (two), Max Self, and Ollie Davidson all scored tries. In addition, Edward Coombs succeeded with seven conversions.

Windsor’s solitary score, meanwhile, was grabbed by William Porter with Ben Grant-Adamson successful with the extras.

They host Old Haberdashers this weekend for their second home game of the season.

The opposition sit 10th in the table with two wins – following their victory at home against Amersham & Chiltern on Saturday – and five losses.

W In the Counties 2 Tribute Berks, Bucks and Oxon South Division, Slough RFC were handed an away win over lowly-placed Newbury 2nds.

The Greenies were saved a trip to Monks Lane on Saturday where there was potential they could have picked up a third consecutive defeat.

Instead, the victory bestowed to them – presumably due to Newbury having availability issues – brings that run to an end and keeps them in fifth place on 17 points - one point above Beaconsfield 3rds and two above Henley 3rds.

So far this season, Slough have won three matches and lost three.

They now turn their attention to league leaders Abingdon who they face on Saturday.

They have won six matches and only lost one this season which came at the weekend to visiting side Rams 3rds (361).
