Car park camera changes
Royal Borough: Public notices
Plans for the St Mark’s Hospital car park and a road closure in Fifield feature in this week’s public notices.
Planning
An application has been made for six automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras and two pay and display machines at St Mark’s Hospital in Maidenhead.
NHS Property Services, who own the site, said it wants to improve parking, security and signposting at the hospital.
A new ANPR system and pay stations are needed to make it easier for staff and visitors to park at St Mark’s, it added.
If approved, the cameras will be installed on three-metre high columns while the pay and display machines are described as modest cabinet structures.
The new equipment will be located within the hospital grounds and will not result in the loss of any existing parking spaces.
A design and access statement submitted with the plans said: “The proposed installation of the ANPR camera system and pay stations across the site will support the efficient operation of St Mark’s Hospital.
“The proposed works are considered to be low impact and will not materially impact the existing fabric or overall appearance and heritage value of the site.”
A separate application has also been made at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor for the installation of three ANPR cameras and three pay and display machines.
