MAIDENHEAD: A hair salon celebrating its 30th birthday has raised hundreds of pounds at a celebratory charity coffee morning.

Monello Hairdressing, located in Providence Place, was first opened in 1992 by Salvatorie Monello and held a charity coffee morning on Monday to celebrate 30 years and raise funds for the Little Princess Trust.

The charity, which the salon has supported previously, makes and provides wigs made of real hair to children and youngsters who have lost their hair through cancer or other conditions.

The salon opened its doors on Monday to welcome in more than 25 people to enjoy a range of tasty treats, including baked cakes, shortbread, and cookies, as well as hot beverages.

During the event almost all of those in attendance took part in the lucky dip box, winning various hair products to take home.

The salon is also hosting a charity raffle, containing 30 prizes worth more than £1,000, including blow dries and haircuts.

The raffle is running until Sunday, December 18 and tickets can be bought from the salon.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 20.

The salon has already raised more than £400 from its coffee morning, lucky dip, and raffle for the Little Princess Trust.

Salvatorie said: “Thank you to everyone that came along to our charity coffee morning.

“Without all the support and loyalty from all of our past and present customers we would have never been able to reach this amazing milestone.”

Salon manager Michael Monello, said: “We have been blessed with a fantastic, fun, hardworking and committed team.

“They have all made our 30th birthday celebrations come to life and it’s been a blast. Here’s to the next 30 years.

“We are so thankful for everyone who helped, donated, and supported Monellos with this incredible milestone.”
