In Conversation with Lady Anne Glenconner Holy Trinity Garrison Church, Windsor

Lady Anne Glenconner will be in conversation with Hugo Vickers in Windsor at 3pm.

Lady Glenconner’s glittering life hasn’t always been golden. As she revealed in her astonishing bestselling memoir Lady in Waiting, it has been one of stark contrasts – from travelling the world with Princess Margaret to coping with her wildly unpredictable husband Lord Glenconner. Tragically, she has also survived the loss of two of her sons and nursed a third son back from a coma.

Now in her 90th year, and at her happiest, Anne joins an audience for a special event in Windsor.

A week after the publication of her much-anticipated new memoir Whatever Next: Lessons from an Unexpected Life, she will reveal, with bracing honesty and characteristic wit, more about her long and unexpected life and what it’s taught her.

Growing up in the splendour of Holkham Hall as the daughter of the Earl of Leicester, by the age of 25 she had been a maid of honour at the Queen’s coronation and married Lord Glenconner, a union that would last 54 years until his death in 2010.
