Let there be light – and creativity
COOKHAM: Creative pupils pitched in to create their own animal-inspired lanterns ahead of the return of Maidenhead’s lantern parade.
The town centre is set to be illuminated on Saturday, December 10 as a procession takes place from the Town Hall to Maidenhead High Street.
Norden Farm has been running the event for several years but the parade has not taken place in-person since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
To prepare for this year’s triumphant return, the arts venue has been running lantern making workshops for families and craft enthusiasts in the town.
On Wednesday, November 23 pupils from Cookham Rise Primary School showed off their imagination as they designed an array of lanterns during an arts and crafts session.
