No warning over roadworks disruption

-

No notification of any kind was given that the pavements were to be dug up to install the fibre optics cables in my road.

A workman came knocking on doors just prior to the work starting so that people could move their cars and park them in the road.

I live in a cul-de-sac and on several occasions I had to get the lorries moved so that I could get into my road and house.

The noise etc has lasted four days.

The workmen have been very helpful and courteous, sweeping up after to ensure the pavements and road are cleared of any mess that had been made.

Many of my neighbours and I are disgusted that NO warning was given of the work to be carried out unlike other utility companies who always forewarn.

So a warning to other residents; if one sees a small digger, a lot of men and blue fencing shutting off pavements and roads, they will be coming your way.
