Riverside restaurant opens its doors
TAPLOW; A new riverside restaurant and bar has opened its doors in Taplow.
Hall & Woodhouse has opened a new two-storey venue in Mill Lane following a £6million investment from the brewer and pub company
The all-day dining restaurant offers a variety of spaces for customers to enjoy food and drink, including an outdoor terrace, an open fire and an informal pantry.
Mark James, the Hall & Woodhouse business partnerships and property director said: “Taplow is a unique area with a rich culture and sense of community.
“We are excited to welcome locals to their new restaurant and bar in time for the warm summer ahead.
“In classic Hall & Woodhouse style, we have made sure to celebrate the fabulous riverside location as well as Taplow’s rich local history, and we couldn’t resist including a few nods to our own company’s heritage.”
The dining areas will have south-facing riverside views, and a cosy area beside the bar will have an open fire for a different ambiance.
Hall & Woodhouse is an independent Dorset family brewery company founded in 1777 with a collection of 170 pubs in the south of England.
The new Taplow venue features striking architecture and interior features such as a lighting fixture crafted from an original copper brewing vessel from the company’s Dorset brewery.
Mark added: “We have designed Taplow to welcome guests at any time of day, from informal catchups over brunch, to intimate dining experiences.
“We are especially looking forward to guests enjoying a drink – whether that’s a coffee, cocktail or a pint of our delicious Badger beer – and a bite to eat as they relax and take in the beautiful local scenery.”
The Taplow restaurant will include a number of sustainable features such as underfloor heating powered by air source heat pumps, upcycled materials and furniture, and outdoor bike parking.
