No waiting and road closures

Temporary road closures and no waiting restrictio­ns in various parts of Maidenhead feature in this week’s public notices.

Road closures

The Royal Borough intends to close part of Ray Mill Road West from its junction with B4447 Cookham Road eastward to access into St Luke’s CofE Primary School for work involving undergroun­d chambers and desilting.

The order will be in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Sunday, April 14.

Elsewhere the authority is looking to close part of Broadway from its junction with Keys Place to its junction with Queen Street for works to plug off a leaking supply on the carriagewa­y.

The closure will take place each night between 9pm and 5am from Tuesday, April 16 until Thursday, April 18.

In Shurlock Row, the borough intends to close part of Shurlock Road between the boundaries of the property known as Little Orchard for works renewing the pit frame and cover in the carriagewa­y.

The road will be closed from 9.30am on Tuesday, April 16 to 4pm on Friday, April 19 .

In Cookham Dean, part of School Lane will be closed from the southern boundary of the property known as Mountfield southward to its junction with Bigfrith Lane from the western boundary of the property known as Woodcote westward for a distance of 25 metres.

The closure is to facilitate a new sewer connection and will be in force form 8am on Tuesday, April 2 to 4pm on Friday, April 12.

The alternativ­e route for those affected is via Bigfrith Lane, Church Road, from Spring Lane to Bigfrith Lane and Bigfrith Lane.

Restrictio­ns

Next month the borough intends to restrict waiting on both sides of the road on Vicarage Road from its junction with Risborough Road to the eastern boundary of 28 Vicarage Road.

The order will also cover Fairford Road from the end of the no waiting restrictio­n southbound to the southern boundary of 13 Fairford Road, and Risborough Road from its junction with Norfolk Road northward to the northern boundary of 13 Risborough Road.

It will also apply to Norfolk Road from the western boundary of 52 Norfolk Road to the western boundary of 47 Norfolk Road.

The proposed order is to facilitate an electrical network upgrade and will be in force from 12.01am on Wednesday, April 17 until 11.59pm on Friday, April 26.
