Brother of murder victim brings hunt for justice to fans
Robert Hart is remembered with new campaign to find truth a year after festival tragedy
THE brother of tragic Robert Hart greeted Parklife revellers to appeal for fresh help in finding his sibling’s killer.
Richard Hart stood on the concourse at Piccadilly station on Saturday to speak to music fans arriving for the Heaton Park event.
Robert, 26, from Macclesfield, died in hospital days after he was punched at the festival last June during a row over an inflatable doll, just before Snoop Dogg took to the main stage.
Grief-stricken brother Richard was at the station with his two brothers-in- law and friends.
He also took the time to record a video which will be shared by police to promote the ‘helpbobby’ campaign.
Posters promoting a new email address - helpb o b b y @ g mp. p o l i c e . u k and a Twitter hastag -#helpbobby – were also put up around the station.

Speaking to the M.E.N earlier in the week, Richard said: “I want to get people thinking as they make their way to the concert. I think Chinese whispers could work better than social media.
“It’s not about the person responsible being found. I just want to know what happened.
“Only two people really know. I cut the grass around the grave of one, and the other, we don’t know who he is.”
Police are already trawling through 80 new emails as a result of a fresh appeal by Robert’s family.
Detectives investigating the assault have received a raft of new images and footage from the public, and urged festival-goers to again check their cameras and phones.
Officers were also on site this weekend with equipment to allow footage to be downloaded.
Det Supt Phil Reade said: “We are really pleased with the response that we have had from the public since the new email address was set up and the hashtag started being used on social media.
“I would just like to say a huge thank you to the public for the support that the new appeal has received so far and hopefully with their continued help, we can finally identify the man responsible for Robert’s tragic death.”
Robert’s family also appealed to celebrities and acts at this year’s Parklife to help by backing an appeal for information.
