Police plea over pub attack

POLICE have released an image of two men they want to speak to after a man was hit in the head with a glass during a fight in a pub.

CCTV has been issued of the incident which happened at the New Union pub on Princess Street in the Gay Village around 10pm on June 7.

The 43-year-old victim was in the pub when he and the offender got into an argument. The victim was then struck in the head with the glass leaving him with a cut.

He was then thrown out of the pub, but not before

The men police want to speak to a second man hurled a chair towards the victim.

The main offender is white, in his 30s, medium build, with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a light-coloured jacket a T-shirt with a CND logo on the front and dark trousers. The man who threw the chair was white, in his 30s, and stocky with a shaved head. He was wearing a light-coloured hoody with the logo EAZ on the front.
