FORWARD Mathew Sisca has signed for Elite League newcomers Manchester Storm for the forthcoming 2015-16 league campaign.

The 24-year-old can play in a variety of attacking positions and arrives after a season playing in Austria with Bolzano.

He had a prolific scoring record as a junior, and Storm player-coach Omar Pacha hopes he can replicate that form at senior level.

“Matt is a player with great speed and skill who sees the ice very well and has a good shot,” he said.

“He plays in all three forward positions and can be used on the point on the powerplay. He has good professional experience and is only 24.

“Matt brings it every night and will make his line-mates better, so I’m glad to have him on board.”

Sisca has played around the world during his career, featuring for teams in the East Coast Hockey League and the Ontario Hockey League.

Sisca can’t wait to get going later this year.

“This is a new chapter in my life and I couldn’t be happier being with the Manchester Storm,” he said.

“I keep hearing great things about the city and the fan base we are going to have, so I am excited to get over and start playing.

“Talking with the management and seeing who we have signed already all sounds and looks amazing.

“We have a solid core and will bring all different great attributes, so I’m really excited.”
