MORE HOME COMFORTS ON THE MENU FOR CITY DINERS

-

IT’S good news for lovers of brunch, fantastical baked creations and all things Americana as Home Sweet Home, one of Manchester’s most popular eateries, launches a second city centre site this September.

The team behind the Northern Quarter cafe, well-known for its ever changing counter of incredible, many-tiered cakes, are set to open the concept in the Great Northern Warehouse.

The new venue, in the former Lucha Libre site, will cater for around 200 diners, who can expect even more outrageous cakes, a bigger menu, takeaway options, booths for parties and special events and new ‘bloody mary, espresso martini and cake shake menus’.

An open kitchen will also allow visitors the chance to spot Charlotte O’Toole, aka Bake-Orama, put the finishing touches on her amazing baked goods.

The eatery is owned by independent companies Delicious Treats and Beautiful Drinks – also behind Luck Lust Liquor and Burn, Almost Famous and the tiki-inpired bar Keko Moku.

And boss Beau Myers said: “We’re super excited about about this epic new Home Sweet Home - it’s going to be big and wonderful and totally fantastical. I want to create a place of total escapism and indulgence, somewhere truly magical and special that you want to bring friends to treat them and enjoy good times.

“The new menus are going to be truly indulgent and head turning, and I can’t wait to bring all of these wow things to the people of Manchester - things that are genuinely new and inspiring.

“See ya for there for brunch soon - I’ll be the one tearing into the bloody mary menu.”

Home Sweet Home’s has become one of Manchester’s most popular eateries – offering diners bric-a-brac interiors and a menu stuffed with home comforts including toasties, milkshakes, burgers, fried chicken and platters – as well as American-style breakfasts and brunches.

Ben Grainger, its general manager, said: “We’re excited to bring what we do best to the other side of town, looking forward to more space and a bigger menu. We’ll be bringing the same super friendly staff and all of the enthusiasm and passion that’s made the NQ a destination.

“For the launch there will be a fill your boots style, try me, bite me, eat me, drink me party. We want you there! Golden Tickets can be won by signing up at homesweethomegn.com.”
