Pep will wait to decide on Joe
PEP Guardiola insists he’ll decide on Joe Hart’s City future.
England goalkeeper Hart described himself as ‘surplus to requirements’ at the Etihad – claiming he would join a club that wants him.
The 29-year-old is currently on loan at Torino after Guardiola installed Claudio Bravo as City’s first choice at the start of the season.
But the Catalan is adamant he will look at the goalkeeping situation in the summer.
“We will explain at the end of the season about all the cases,” he said. “The cases of the players that are here, the players that are happy or unhappy and the players that are loan.
“Joe is a player for Manchester City and we are going to decide that at the end of the season.”
Guardiola is considering a move for Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford in the summer, while Willy Caballero could be offered a contract extension, following his impressive form this season.
Geronimo Rulli, who City signed last summer before immediately loaning to Real Sociedad, is another option.
Despite Bravo’s struggles in English football, Hart still seems certain to be sold.
Guardiola made a major call to displace one of the most prominent figures in the dressing room, upon his arrival, - and has shown little indication that he regrets the decision.
