Griezmann will listen to offers from Old Trafford

ANTOINE Griezmann WILL consider an offer from United – despite his growing frustration about being linked with the Reds.

The Atletico Madrid forward has been consistently diplomatic in his comments regarding his current employers as speculation about his future has swirled around him.

But his adviser Eric Olhats has said the France forward will consider United’s approach.

Real Madrid are also in the picture – but he ruled Paris St Germain out of the battle to land him.

Olhats, talking after Griezmann scored his 100th La Liga goal in Atletico’s 1-0 win over Espanyol 1-0 on Saturday, said United ‘told us about their project’ and are the ‘first and the most solid’ in their interest in Griezmann.

“There is an existing clause of €100m, which is unavoidable,” he said.

“We’re thinking right now about the most suitable offer. Real Madrid and other clubs are part of this thinking process.

“Antoine doesn’t want to leave the club at any cost. That is false.”

Of PSG he added: “Last year, there was a real interest, but not this year. He might not be in their plans any more.”

When questioned about his future in an interview with beIN SPORTS on Saturday, an irritated Griezmann said: “That’s it, I’ve already spoken. I do not want to talk any more.” ANDER Herrera is backing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo to return stronger than ever from their cruciate knee ligament injuries.

The Swedish striker and Argentine defender suffered their long-term injuries in Thursday’s Europa League win against Anderlecht that saw the Reds into the semi-finals and a two-legged tie with Celta Vigo.

But the two KOs took the gloss off the 2-1 extra-time win.

Herrera dedicated United’s 2-0 Premier League win at Turf Moor against Burnley on Sunday to his two unfortunate colleagues.

Before the game, the Reds players wore tracksuit tops with the names of Ibrahimovic and Rojo on.

“I’m happy we could dedicate the victory against Burnley to Ibra and Marcos. They are now having bad moments,” said the Basque midfielder.

Ibrahimovic’s debut season for United has been sensational with his 28-goal haul making him the clear leading scorer.

But his future at Old Trafford is uncertain with a one-year contract extension unsigned before he suffered the knee injury.

“Ibra is 35 and has won everything and played at the highest level for 15 or 16 years and now it is the first time he gets a really bad injury, so we are really sad for him,” added Herrera.

“But of course he can get back.

“First because he is privileged physically. His body is one of the best I have ever seen, so I think it will be easier for him to get back than others.

“But he is 35, he will have to work very, very hard, be very patient.

“Yet I have no doubt he will be back because he loves football, he loves to win, he loves to score goals. “He really loves to train every day. “Every day he wants to win, every box, every football tennis, everything in training, so I have no doubt he will be back.” Rojo has been rejuvenated under Jose Mourinho’s management this season and had cemented his place as a consistent regular for the Reds in the centre of defence. “Marcos was in the best moment of his career. He was very focussed on what he was doing,” added Herrera. “For me, at the moment he was one of the best centre-backs in the world. “It was very difficult to beat him, every duel he won, every tackle he won. “He has to know that he can be back as good as he was. “He will be back very strong. “He is my friend and I will try to be very, very close to him to support him and help him. “We all have to be supporting both of them because they are really bad moments for them.” Ander Herrera
