RADIO star Chelsea Norris has revealed she is to host her own Ladies Lunch for the first time since her highprofile departure from Key 103.

Chelsea’s annual ladies lunches were known as one of the biggest events on the social calendar when she was co-host of Key’s breakfast show. Now Chelsea has decided to host her own event – and promises the same mix of surprise star guests, entertainment and merriment for her debut lunch in September. Chelsea had teased fans over the weekend that she would be making an ‘announcement’ yesterday morning, leading many to speculate as to what it might be. The mum-of-one left Key 103 last year after 12 years at the station, and has now started a new role hosting BBC Radio Manchester’s Drive show in the afternoons.

She has confirmed that she will be hosting her own ladies lunch on September 15 at the Hallmark Hotel in Handforth in aid of two charities, St Ann’s Hospice and Once Upon A Smile.

Chelsea says: “For the last few months ladies I know and have met have said to me ‘what will we do without a ladies lunch this year’?

“These are people who have been coming for years.

“And so I thought why not do one – for all the loyal ladies who enjoy a good day out raising money for charity.”

Both charities are close to Chelsea’s heart, with the radio presenter a longtime patron of St Ann’s Hospice.

She said: “I’ve been a patron of St Ann’s Hospice for about 10 years and it’s a charity that means a lot to me.

“My nan passed away there and it’s my way of saying thank you to them for all they did.

“Having recently had a baby I also wanted a children’s charity to benefit. Once Upon a Smile helps bereaved children come to terms with loss and they offer a unique support system.”
