LOOSE WOMEN HIT THE STREETS

-

A huge crowd gathered outside The Printworks to see the stars of TV’s Loose Women carry out a live broadcast.

LOOSE Women star Coleen Nolan encouraged a woman to strip down to her undies in front of Manchester’s Printworks - as the TV show launched its much talked about Body Stories campaign.

Stars of the ITV panel show have posed in just their swimming cossies for a new photo released at the weekend to launch their campaign to encourage body confidence.

And as the campaign officially launched on Tuesday’s show, Coleen broadcasted live from Manchester city centre – unveiling a huge billboard of the Loose Women photo on The Printworks complex.

As Coleen looked on at the huge photo of the scantily clad Loose Women, she said: “I’m still in shock about seeing that so big in the middle of Manchester, very embarrassing.”

She started the show by ripping off her t-shirt with the slogan “Yes I Like Cake”, before introducing viewer Nicky who stripped down to bra and pants in the middle of the city centre, as a crowd of onlookers cheered her on.

Nicky said: “When I was younger I used to cover up all the time, but now after everything I’ve been through I celebrate my body, and I think every man and woman should celebrate their bodies.”

Coleen then led a surprise flash mob of dancers saying: “I’m in the Mood for Dancing” - a nod to her famous Nolans hit.

Mum-of-three Coleen stripped off to her swimsuit for the campaign saying at the weekend: “Life’s too short to spend it on a yo-yo diet. I’ve made peace with the way my body looks and, quite frankly, I like cake just a little bit too much.”

The campaign, with the slogan: “Every body tells a story”, is encouraging women to tell their body stories in the weeks ahead, by posting a “body confident” picture and recounting their own experiences.

It launched with the black-andwhite image of Loose Women star panellists including Katie Price, Janet Street-Porter and Stacey Solomon taken by rock legend Bryan Adams which aimed to “stick two fingers up” at airbrushing.

He said: “The brief was, they want to be natural, they want to be real. It’s kind of what I would have wanted to do. It’s great, it makes life easier.”

A behind-the-scenes video of the shoot was screened, in which the Loose Women stars spoke of their nerves about stripping off in front of Bryan.
