DIARYDIANNE Celebs win race in style stakes

-

REAL Housewives Of Cheshire star Leanne Brown was a tangerine dream as she joined the thousands of glamorous racegoers heading to the Chester Boodles May Festival Ladies Day.

Leanne was leaving the dramas of the hit ITVBe show behind as she enjoyed a day in the sunshine in the bold orange trousersuit topped with jaunty fedora hat as she headed to the Chester Races with pals on Thursday.

She was in good company - as ladies dressed in their most fabulous outfits for the event, known as one of the most stylish on the races calendar.

And trouser suits, like Leanne’s were a big trend on the day among the ladies.

Bright coloured dresses and big hats were also a big hit on the day - as guests made the most of the blue skies and soaring temperatures at yesterday’s event.

It meant for tough competition for the winner of the Boodles’ Best Dressed Lady competition, awarded at the end of Ladies Day.

This year, for the first time, organisers also held a Gentlemen’s Best Dressed prize on the opening day of the festival, which was won by Stephen Wong, from the Wirral, who was commended for his ontrend look. Take Me Out star Paddy McGuinness was also among the stylish chaps on opening day, heading along with his former beauty queen wife, Christine.

Christine wore a one shoulder peach and pink dress while Paddy was in a sharp navy suit. Former Manchester United star Michael Owen was also spotted at Ladies Day with his wife Louise.

He’s a regular fixture at the Chester course, as he owns a number of racehorses, trained at his Cheshire stables.
