THE SCHOOLGIRL who stole the hearts of the nation when she sang through tears alongside Ariana Grande at the One Love Manchester concert has described the magical moment as ‘a dream come true.’

Natasha-Rose Seth, 12, sang the first verse of the star’s hit ‘My Everything’ as a solo as her friends, the choir from Parrs Wood High School in Didsbury, sang along with the rest of the song on stage.

Ariana joined the youngsters as millions watched around the globe. She took hold of NatashaRose’s hand to comfort her as they finished the song together, before giving her a hug.

For many it was one of the most moving moments of an incredibly emotional evening.

Natasha-Rose has been singing since the age of two, writes her own songs and has been a member of the choir since starting school.

The group recorded a version of the song after the Arena bomb, and it went viral online. It was spotted by Ariana’s management, who asked the kids to perform at the concert.

Natasha-Rose said: “I got given the solo and we rehearsed it then we found out that after putting it on YouTube, Ariana had seen it and she really liked it and she wanted us to perform with her. I actually couldn’t believe it.

“I was quite nervous when I walked on, but then when I started to perform it seemed really exciting.

“Then all my nerves went out of the window, like everyone else’s.

“I just remember out of the corner of my eye, I just saw someone approaching me.

“I looked and it was Ariana Grande.

“She held my hand when we were singing and it was like a dream come true - it was amazing.”

Natasha-Rose described the reaction since the choir’s performance as ‘incredible.’

Cameras captured members of the audience in tears as they watched the children perform.

“I am really thankful for all the support,” said Natasha-Rose.

“We wanted to do everything we could to help the victims of the attack and I just hope we have achieved our goal.”

Two members of the choir were at Ariana’s gig at the Arena - sixth form students Adam Khan and Shaunna Burns, both 17.

Adam said performing at the Old Trafford gig as surreal.

“It was scary walking on but as soon as we got on stage it was amazing,” he said.

“It was the best experience of my life.”

Erin Rofe-Turner, 15, said Ariana gave them all hugs on the night. She said: “She was really nice. She was asking all of us how we were.

“It was nice to know that her support was there.”
