Tamara gets her new salon into gear

-

BILLIONAIRE heiress Tamara Ecclestone has praised our city’s ‘glam’ ladies as she launched her first hair salon in Manchester. Tamara, the founder and creative director of SHOW Beauty haircare, was in town to open SHOW Dry in Harvey Nichols – with help from her cute threeyear-old daughter Sophia.

Aimed at providing the ultimate luxurious salon experience, customers can book in for a cut and colour, up-do styling and treatment masks as well as the signature blow dry - and there’s a ‘hair lingerie’ service for those wishing to add volume or length or both.

SHOW Beauty’s second out-of-London salon boasts a VIP cabana and large bar where guests can enjoy complimentary bubbles and nibbles while they wait for their appointment. And a selection of dishes from the Harvey Nichols Second Floor Bar and Brasserie are available for busy women wishing to book a ‘Blow Dry Lunch.’

Tamara, the eldest daughter of former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone, said: “I definitely love that you guys take pride in your appearance and hair and are glam, so it makes sense to open a salon here in Manchester.

“I do love people who are glamorous and have big hair and like to make the best of themselves. I think that when you’re hair is looking nice you forget about yourself.”

Tamara, who turned heads as she arrived at Harvey Nichols in a long floral dress with pink opentoe sandals, says keeping her brunette tresses looking tip-top helps to give her a boost as a busy working mother.

“We obviously all have our days when we feel bad but it’s nice to make an effort,” she told us.

“I love braids and topknots and I love messy buns, but I feel that nothing beats a big bouncy blow dry.” This was entrepreneur model and TV presenter Tamara’s third time in Manchester – and she’s looking forward to spending more time here following the launch of her fourth fully-functioning salon salon after Notting Hill, Wimbledon and the Metrocentre shopping centre in Gateshead.

“An acquaintance of mine had a party at her house so we went to her party in Manchester once which was really fun,” she said.

“I’ve only been here twice before and this is my third time. I’ll definitely be coming back to check up and see how everything is doing and maybe have a look around Manchester a bit more and get to know the place.”
