Stars line up for game to help exploited kids
FORMER Manchester City and United players will join celebrities for a charity football match to battle child sexual exploitation.
Ex-Blues winger Trevor Sinclair, as well as the club’s Kevin Horlock and Paul Dickov will be among the players in the Offside Trust’s inaugural Celebrity Football Match.
To be held in Manchester next month, United veteran Danny Webber will also take part. Royle Family actor Ralph Little and Love Island reality star Scott Thomas are also expected to be in the lineup.
The Offside Trust, which also supports survivors of abuse, is led by ex Crewe Alexandra player Steve Walters and former professional golfer Chris Unsworth.
It was founded last November, when British football was rocked by a series of high-profile revelations regarding historic sexual abuse.
At the time, several former professional players bravely waived their right to anonymity to speak out about their ordeals.
