Masons to move in to Manchester Hall
MANCHESTER Hall has completed its transformation into an eating and drinking hub with the confirmation of another new restaurant.
Masons Restaurant Bar will open in the former Freemasons’ Hall on Bridge Street on October 20.
Spanish tapas and gin restaurant Pintura and bar brand Fable are also opening in the historic Grade II listed building.
The menu at Masons will have a nod to traditional British flavours, but very much brought up to date, according to the people behind it. Masons is owned by Stephen Cliff also a director of Manchester Hall.
Masons will unveil its full menu next month, with all ingredients carefully sourced from across Great Britain and Ireland, including Connemara organic Irish salmon and Dukesmoor steaks from Wales. The menu will be kept ‘deliberately simple.’
While the interior features a few touches of Freemasons’ iconography, the green colours of the design scheme have been chosen to help create an ‘informal club atmosphere.’
The restaurant area offers ‘a multitude of different dining settings under one roof, catering for a plethora of requirements’ from breakfast planning meetings, entertaining clients at lunch or an evening date. There will also be a private dining booth complete with Freemasonsinspired motifs. Director Deepa Parekh says: “Our Masons menu has been many months in the planning and we can’t wait to surprise and Director Deepa Parekh delight our first guests with our traditional menu with a twist.
“Enjoying fantastic food shouldn’t be intimidating and Masons’ ethos will be to combine attention to every single detail in our cooking with the friendliest and best possible personal service. We don’t want it to feel like a stuffy venue, but a place to unwind and relax with friends and colleagues in the heart of the city.”
